It is a great honor for Brazil to host the first World Fishing Championship in the history of the American Continent, in this year of 2007, which will be engraved with golden letters in the fishing history of the Americas.

We are proud of our duty to be your hosts, from the 13th to the 21st of October, in Vitória, the capital of the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil. You, the elite of the fishing world, the National Teams, the best fishermen/women in the world, who will be honoring us with your visit.

Brazil has the responsibility, and will do everything possible, to represent the American Continent well. Our country’s tradition of hospitality, freedom and opportunities has made it the choice of a second home for a considerable number of immigrants from all over the world, whence, our ethnic origin.
